This site is a personal blog by John Cedrick Reyes. So, here’s a brief trivia about me. Here goes, I’m an outgoing person who loves to explore other places, an avid fan on how the taste buds work, and someone who provides subjective reviews on topics I deem relevant to my life. Not the one who forces opinion on others, no. I talk about everything, from my first hand experiences on life and the thoughts inside my brain.
So what is the site all about? Well in summary, it is all about my travel stories, itineraries, food and restaurant reviews, thoughts on topics (mostly social topics), photography, tips, and many more!

About The Author
I’m John Cedrick Reyes, a Filipino based on Sta. Maria, Bulacan. I’m a Civil Engineer by profession who loves buildings and architecture as a whole. Buildings and other magnificent structures always fascinates me. My fondness started when I was a highschooler. I found an online forum which talks about skyscrapers and other developments of the Philippines. I would spend hours at pages just looking at pictures of skyscrapers! I would even vote for a poll for which skyscraper is the best. I remembered my first time seeing the Makati skyline and it made my jaw dropped. Since I lived at the province, there were no tall buildings or other beautifully designed buildings present. I’m curious behind the minds of those who dream its conception to its conclusion. These are the reasons why I took Civil Engineering as my career choice. It is my dream, and I will do everything in my power to fuel my passion. I’m currently employed in the construction industry and so far, I’m doing quite well. I worked as a Project Engineer in a site at Tayuman, Manila, a technical support staff in an Engineering department, and currently as a Quantity Surveyor. I’ll be forever thankful to my little kid inside me as he is curious, and inquisitive. These traits was my catalyst to pursue Civil Engineering. If I’m a little more leaned towards other curiosity, perhaps I’m associated with other trades. But I’m thankful for what I am now.
Enough of my career, let’s talk about other trivial things. Things is learned to love. I love going on road trips, I would spend my weekends just driving to places without prior plans. The spontaneity of my actions lead to great road trips. What makes a good road trip? Where unexpected happens, where you see new stuff, or where your stress and problems are relieved. I would just simply take the first left, drive for 3 blocks, and take right and drive non-stop. You get my gist. It adds to the thrill, and adventure. You also get to go to secluded places, which I’m always curious about. I want to see firsthand the situations of fellow Filipinos of different walks of life. There’s also this “joy” that is felt while driving long distances, other drivers will relate to me. Maybe it’s just the thought of exploring new places, or maybe something totally different. Nonetheless, I would certainly want to recreate that feeling.
I also love shopping. It would be a surprise for everybody, since I’m a guy, shopping would be the least of my concerns but it’s quite the opposite. I’m fond of shopping! I love dressing up, and would look for trendy stuffs and try it on, but normally I would not buy trendy expensive stuff on branded shops. I get my clothes at cheap and affordable prices because I have a knack for great deals. I often shop while my favorite brands are on sale, or on thrift shops. If my picked clothes are not yet on sale, I would wait until it’s on sale or would look for other shops with the same designs and buy there. Also, I would window shop my a** off until I get frustrated not buying something, my discipline paying off, avoiding cashing out regrets. Apparently, window shopping is a form of shopping because there’s “shopping” in it, so there’s that, I love shopping!
Ohh, there’s food! Move aside, and let me get some of it. This is the level of love I have for food. Don’t think of it negatively like I’m a gluttonous guy, no. I love trying other cuisines, and expressing my thoughts about it. In my spare time, I oftentimes search for a bomb place to try at least once a month. My principle in life would be “always try something new”.
That’s all about me. Maybe I can hear about yours? Feel free to contact me for other matters. Cheers.
